Hans Sundberg holds a doctorate in systematic theology from Uppsala University and is widely known for introducing the Vineyard movement to Sweden and the Nordic countries. Together with his wife Lotta, he founded Stockholm Vineyard Church in 1992 and has played a significant role in shaping charismatic Christianity across the region.
Jan-Aage Torp and Hans Sundberg have shared a friendship spanning nearly three decades. Their relationship began during the Lightbearer controversy in Norway in 1998, and their mutual passion for revival, theology, and evangelism has continued ever since.
The conversation centers around Sundberg’s new book, co-authored with Jan Runeson, which explores the life, ministry, and enduring influence of John Wimber. The book offers spiritual inspiration, historical insight, and a thoughtful analysis of how Wimber and the Vineyard movement have impacted the Nordic nations.
Jan-Aage also reflects on his own encounters with John Wimber during his studies at Fuller Theological Seminary and his involvement in Wimber’s first visit to Norway in 1985.
