In tonight’s episode of Insight with Pastor Torp, Jan-Aage Torp sits down with Dr. Elaine Phillips, Chief Academic Officer at Jerusalem University College (JUC) on Mount Zion in Jerusalem.
Dr. Elaine has been part of the JUC community for nearly five decades, together with her husband, Dr. Perry Phillips, an adjunct professor at the college.
Holding a PhD in rabbinic literature, Dr. Elaine has devoted much of her academic work to Exodus, Esther, and biblical wisdom literature. Her commentary on Esther is included in the respected Expositor’s Bible Commentary.
In this conversation, she takes us deeper into the world of biblical wisdom and reflects on why studying Scripture is more than gaining knowledge. The Bible can shape the way we think, live, and see God—bringing genuine transformation.
