King of Kings: Born in a Stable, written in the Stars – is a 24-episode Christmas calendar series that brings the story of Jesus’ birth to life.

Featuring the journey of the wise men, the starry skies, Herod the Great, and the events surrounding the Nativity, this series blends biblical accounts with historical context to reconnect viewers with the true meaning of Christmas.

“The idea for a biblical Christmas series came in 2015,” the producer Inger Hanvold shares. “I wanted to explore the wise men, the starry sky, camels, and the events surrounding Jesus’ birth. After discovering The Star of Bethlehem theory, I collaborated with Ragnhild E. Angell to create the script, dividing the story into 24 parts focusing on Joseph, Mary, and Jesus, the wise men, and Herod the Great.”

Production began in 2020 despite pandemic challenges, with Helge Breistein as director, supported by a small but talented team of writers, musicians, and designers. Over four years, 513 scenes were filmed, blending biblical accounts, prophecy, and historical context.

Each episode unveils a piece of this extraordinary story, taking you on a journey through prophecy, faith, and hope.

The first episode premieres on December 1st at 20:00 on Vision Heaven with English subtitles. (the episode’s rerun airs at 02:00)
